Newmarket, Extension of Timber Framed House

Project:

Architectural house plans for a single storey extension to add living area to the ground floor of 4-bedroom house in Newmarket.

The Brief:

The owner of a 4-bedroomed timber framed house in Newmarket, Suffolk asked us to re-design and extend the ground floor to maximise the light offered from the south-west facing garden. The client wanted to swap the dining and lounge areas, in order to extend the lounge and increase the living space on the ground floor.

The Results:

In order to open up the lounge space, we proposed to move the kitchen to the front of the house, with an inter-connecting utility as existed before. We created architectural house plans which would extend the lounge which would be moved to the rear of the house, and added bi-fold doors to gain maximum light from the south-west facing garden.
